Rhyzome Choreographic School launched with an opening event at the space of Thkio Ppalies. In the space we choreo-curated an installation featuring the works still, we rise (2015), a collage printed on vinyl, and to my own creaturely flesh everything speaks (2018), a video work, both by Eva Papavasiliou. The installation further included A Tribute to Steve Paxton featuring Steve Paxton's book Gravity alongside a found audio interview About Dancing, as well as the Choreo-Library table and a choreo-graffiti in the garden area reimaging labanotation and scoring systems.
A durational performance unfolded in the space, inspired by Simone Forti's seminal work Huddle, performed by Ioli Kaskani, Chrysso Cosmas, Marianna Yiannaki, and Belinda Papavasiliou. The event concluded with a DJ set by Xypno!
